The Surgical Technology Program is a twelve-month, three-semester, certificate program offered through SICCM by John A Logan College and Shawnee Community College.
Students are admitted to the program after completing the application process at the one of the participating colleges. Each participating college has a predetermined allotment of program slots.
Applicants’ weighted HOAE scores are used to determine ranking at each of the participating colleges. The top ranking students are then admitted into the program. Upon indicating their acceptance in the program, students are sent a letter by the Program Director. It is mandatory all accepting students attend the orientation. All information will be given concerning the requirements that must be met before attending the first day of class.
